TAi Ji Quan may be understood as a self healing system of slow precise exercises whiich combine meditation and rythmic breathing to improve the qi flow, which is thought to prevent illness. also to help in healing chronic illness and improve overall well being.

tai ji quan practitioners use it's special techniques to cultivate their Qi (life force energy) strengthen Yi (mind intent), to make their bodies and minds strong, and able to use taijiquan's applications.
